FAQs
When do I need to RSVP by?
Please RSVP by 31st July 2025 to allow us enough time to arrange catering and accommodation as necessary.
Are kids invited?
We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception as an adults-only event. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!
Is there a gift registry?
We are both fully settled into our home and are lucky to have everything we need. Instead of a traditional wish list, we've made a honeymoon fund where you can help us plan our honeymoon. You can have a look here.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony will begin at punctually at 1:30pm, please arrive no later than 1pm.
The reception will begin from 7pm.
Should I eat before arriving?
If you like, you can have a light snack before arriving. The ceremony starts at 1:30 PM, which will be followed by cocktail hour, serving drinks and nibbles. The wedding breakfast is planned for 4 PM, and evening food will be served around 9 PM.
Is there a dress code?
We’d love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day. Dress code is formal attire. For ladies, this can be an elegant evening gown, a chic cocktail dress, saree, or a tailored suit. For gents, a suit paired with a dress shirt, tie, and formal shoes is the perfect choice.
To help preserve the house's historic wooden floors, the owners politely request that you wear heel protectors on stilettos.
Help us celebrate sustainably! We encourage you to wear second-hand clothing—whether it's a vintage find or a much-loved wardrobe staple. We’d love to see your charity-shop finds!

Our Story
Bobby and Cathy both clapped eyes on each other as 18-year-old freshers at Lancaster University. They were flatmates in Pendle College. Amidst all the drinking games, they could never have guessed that this meeting was to become their big love story.
After living together for almost a year, somehow Bobby and Cathy weren’t sick of each other and decided to make things official. Their first date was very fitting as they went to the Pendle Witch pub in Lancaster.
On Bobby’s 21st birthday, a national lockdown was declared. Bobby and Cathy ended up spending lockdown together in Cathy’s student house in Lancaster. Although it was a scary time, it was a big test for their relationship. The biggest test, though, was Bobby having to go without his xbox for months! Luckily, they both came out the other end all the stronger for it.
In July 2020, Bobby and Cathy finished their degrees mid-pandemic and moved back in with family. Bobby had a graduate job lined up and Cathy took up a PhD opportunity. She claims it was to learn more about sustainability but deep down it was just to be able to say, “trust me, I’m a Dr”.
Bobby and Cathy moved into their first proper home together in Prestwich, Manchester. The main struggle with this was to figure out where to put all Cathy’s plants she’d been growing over lockdown!
In February 2021, a new addition joined Bobby and Cathy’s family. Although he was a little nervous at first, Ralphie very quickly became boss of the household.
Bobby and Cathy started off the new year by buying their first house together and moving to Haslington, Cheshire. They quickly got busy DIY-ing and making the house their own.
Two years after finishing their degrees, Bobby and Cathy finally got the chance to wear the funny hats. They couldn’t resist heading back to the flat where they first met.
On a holiday to Lake Como, Bobby got down on one knee and popped the question. It was at the same villa where some of the Star Wars scenes were filmed, so it’s only lucky that he didn’t say “me marry you will?”.
On 4th October 2025, we’ll be tying the knot and would love to have you with us to celebrate. If you haven’t already, don’t forget to RSVP!
